Ok, so Elvis fans will flame me big time for this.....but they've likely got every single song he ever did anyway. Sorry I have NO INFO about when/where these were done. I snagged this last year from an EP Newsgroup, burned the CD, leant it to a friend. Many months later (after his back surgery), he says he can't find original, but has made a copy of it. I get copy back, but of course, all tags on MP3's are lost.
Anyhow.....some of these are just same old Christmas tracks u'v likely heard before. But there are a few that show the "real" Elvis. that is the man in control, a real rockin' true-to-life musician, not the candy ass actor/Vegas lounge singer he became (or should I say the Colonel forced him into becoming!?). Check out track 6 Merry Christmas Baby if you need proof. Needless to say, that one wasn't recorded during the day with the RCA brass breathing down his neck. You can be sure it was a late night session, quite possibly after a few beverages, etc. I'd love to find more of this gritty blues type stuff! I'm positive it exists, and sure I'll stumble across someday......
